The fans have spoken and our “real life monster” that we discuss on our edition right before Halloween will be…”The Blood Countess” Elizabeth Bathory.

Elizabeth Bathory Portrait.jpg

On October 26th, 2015 we’ll be joined by Kimberly L. Craft who has done an OUTSTANDING amount of research on this historical villain.

Here’s a snippet of some credentials for Ms. Craft:

Fascinated by the legal history of Countess Báthory’s case, Prof. Craft has spent nearly a
decade researching the details of her life and trial, and over a year translating the original
source material into English.  Prof. Craft brings a corrected history, as well as new and
exciting source material, for the first time to an English-speaking audience.

Kimberly L. Craft holds bachelor and
master’s degrees as well as a juris
doctorate (law) degree.  She also holds a
Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache from
the Goethe Institut in Munich.

An attorney and legal historian, Prof. Craft
has served on various faculties, including
DePaul University and Florida A&M
College of Law.

For those unfamiliar, here’s a wikipedia clip of some information about Bathory:

Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed (Báthory Erzsébet in Hungarian; 7 August 1560 – 21 August 1614)[1] was a countess from the renowned Báthory family of nobility in the Kingdom of Hungary known for being a serial killer. She has been labelled by Guinness World Records as the most prolific female murderer,[2] though the precise number of her victims is debated. Báthory and four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of young women between 1585 and 1610.[3] The highest number of victims cited during Báthory’s trial was 650. However, this number comes from the claim by a woman named Susannah that Jacob Szilvássy, Countess Báthory’s court official, had seen the figure in one of Báthory’s private books. The book was never revealed, and Szilvássy never mentioned it in his testimony.[4] Despite the evidence against Elizabeth, her family’s influence kept her from facing trial. She was imprisoned in December 1610 within Csejte Castle, Upper Hungary, now in Slovakia, where she remained immured in a set of rooms until her death four years later.

The stories of her serial murders and brutality are verified by the testimony of more than 300 witnesses and survivors as well as physical evidence and the presence of horribly mutilated dead, dying and imprisoned girls found at the time of her arrest.[5] Stories which ascribe to her vampire-like tendencies (most famously the tale that she bathed in the blood of virgins to retain her youth) were generally recorded years after her death and are considered unreliable. Her story quickly became part of national folklore, and her infamy persists to this day.[6] She is often compared with Vlad III the Impaler of Wallachia, on whom the fictional Count Dracula is partly based, and has been nicknamed The Blood Countess and Countess Dracula.

Also joining us will be…Dennis Bathory-Kitsz who is a descendant of Bathory. He has told us not to believe anything we’ve seen on any documentary, etc…so what information can he share? What mysteries will be solved? Tune in to find out!!!

Tune in on October 26th at 9 PM Eastern to get educated on this real life monster!

Trick R Treat: Retard Edition #TrickRTreat

After a year of silence…the drunksssss are back!

YouTube banned us for almost a year, but damn it, you can’t keep a bad show down. Bad camera. Bad lighting. Bad sound. Bad film quality. We’ve got it all…and most importantly…we’re drunk!

On October 3rd the Louisville Town Drunks reunited with their token black guy for one of the most offensive shows to date as they turned the classic Halloween film “Trick R Treat” into the nonsensical discussion entitled “Trick R Treat: Retard Edition.” It happened. Watch it. Brighten your day.

T&V’s Vixen of the Week: Tamara Glynn (@tamara_glynn)

As you know, every Wednesday we’ll attempt to post our very own “Vixen of the Week” who of course will be horror-related on some level. This week’s “Vixen of the Week” was selected by Vic seeing as we’re heading into our interview with her on next Monday’s show at 9 PM EST (with Jeffrey Landman joining us as well). This hot red devil did one hell of a job in the movie and we can’t wait to talk to her! Ladies and gentlemen (mostly gentlemen we’re sure) say hello to Tamara Glynn, “Sammy” from Halloween 5!

Listen to our interview with her on Monday, October 12th at 9 PM EST here: http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=139480&cmd=tc
